Description

There are often different fillers and operating materials for a plant, machine or vehicle. This can lead to mix-ups and errors during filling. This is particularly problematic with rolling tanks in industry. Here, there must be no mixing of hazardous substances. This invention uses RFID technology to prevent this. Before each filling process, a label on the side of the tank is queried contactlessly to determine whether filling with the intended substance is permitted. If the filling is approved, the filling process is started and information is written on the tank-side label, such as the type of filler, quantity or information on the place and time. In this way, the history of a tank can be tracked and, for example, cleaning can be arranged in good time.
